    Cincinnati SPIN Notice 1/09

The January meeting will be on Wednesday January 14th from 4pm to 6pm at
    Cincom

    55 Merchant St
    Cincinnati, OH 45246
Thank you Cincom for sponsoring! The presentation topic is The Process and Value of Test Driven Development (TDD) presented by Andy Lawrence from Pillar.

Andy is going to talk about what TDD is and the value of it to an organization. There will be no code presented here; we're going to explore the benefits and application of TDD. We're going to talk about the goals of TDD (Hint: it's not "testing"), the other things having tests in places enables, how to get started with an existing code base, and what the testing suite typically looks like. Lastly, TDD is not a panacea, so we're going to talk about some of the myths around TDD. Please forward this email to your colleagues and contacts who may be interested in this field. We look forward to seeing you at the meeting! Thank you.
