2007-02: Panel Discussion: Implementing Agile Methods

    Answer

Come join us for a panel discussion on Implementing Agile Methods. Leading the panel will be:

Rod Claar, a Certified ScrumMaster Practitioner (CSM-P), is a Senior Consultant and trainer at Net Objectives. He has been designing, developing and implementing software since the late ‘80s. His experience agile process has and his data management background has led him to start working on a book dealing with the problems of managing enterprise data in an agile environment.

Steve Tockey is the Principal Consultant at Construx Software. He has been employed in the software industry since 1977, and has worked as a programmer, analyst, designer, researcher, consultant, and adjunct professor. He is widely published and has extensive experience with software development and maintenance at all levels of application, as well as knowledge of various hardware. Steve has a Master's of Software Engineering (6/93) from Seattle University. He is also an IEEE Computer Society Certified Software Development Professional (CSDP).

Shane Currier has been a software professional since 1985.  Shane has had the opportunity to work with many different development methodologies, including a very formal mil-spec CMM level 1 process at GTE government system to home grown methodologies used at WRQ.  He has led two development teams through the transition to agile software development.

Each participant will give a short (five minute) intro into their experience in implementing Agile development. The moderator will then begin the open questions either from the audience or from a prepared list of questions.

At the conclusion of the question, we will give each panel participant an opportunity to make a brief (two minute) closing statement

    Enjoy,
    Earl
