Job Title: IT Release Coordinator

Job Description:
The IT Release Management team defines, publishes, maintains, communicates and facilitates the release of eCommerce products across our clients IT organization. This team coordinates release milestones and associated processes and tracks these through the release lifecycle. Qualified candidates will have strong program management experience specializing in the delivery of products. Experience working in a technical position managing the introduction of new products in a highly dynamic and transactional environment is a must.
Responsibilities:
o Work closely with the Product Development and IT Operations groups in planning, managing, and implementing releases.
o Drive the release planning process and define best practices and processes for the IT organization to efficiently support major, minor, emergency and off-cycle releases.
o Build and manage runbooks for release and work closely with the change control team to schedule releases.
o Determine the readiness of each release based on release criteria provided by the development organization (quality of release, production environment readiness, training and support plans, rollout and backout plans, and risk management plan).
o Ensure stabilization metrics & measurements meet the acceptance criteria post release.
o Work closely with all Development groups to continuously improve our release processes, communication and delivery eCommerce products.
o Work closely with Quality of Service organization to successfully deploy change into the production environment.

Required Skills/Experience:
o Minimum 5 years experience in a technology focused position
*Experience with complicated releases from deployment and SW services
o Outstanding organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
o Ability to drive issues to closure
o Knowledge and experience with SDLC models
o Experience with Definitive Software/Hardware Libraries and CMDBs preferable
o Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
o Flexible, able to learn quickly in a dynamic environment
o Experience with Multi-Tiered System Operations, including Web, Application and Database Operational Support & Services.
o Experience with 24x7 operations.
o Ability to work independently and to be an effective contributor in a diversified team.
o Must work well within a deadline-driven environment.
o Education: Bachelors Degree or Equivalent
