Bruce Bacheller will be speaking about the Agile Unified Process (Now that the RUP is no longer Rational, and is a part of IBM) and the Enterprise Unified Process.
Bruce has worked with IBM’s Macrosocope/Microscope and helped IBM conceptualize and develop a new UML Publisher last years IBM (Rational) Tools Conference, which was presented by IBM. He was trained in the Rational Unified Process (RUP) by Phillipe Krutchen sometimes known as the “fourth amigo”.
Bruce has over sixteen years experience in building scalable and extensible information systems. With the advent of the web he has focused on the building of highly distributed systems for global ecommerce and information sharing. He has worked for such organizations as Department of Defense, Weyerhaeuser, Boeing, REI, Starbucks, IBM, Sierra Systems and most recently for GiftCertificates.com, Adobe and Microsoft as well as many smaller local technology companies.
Bruce was Chief Architect with the Product Development Division of Continental Data Graphics (Boeing Subsidiary) located in Bellevue where he helped architect, develop and deploy a web based illustrated parts catalog for B2B ecommerce.
Bruce has taught web development and TCP/IP at Northshore Community College and Software Quality Metrics at Seattle Pacific University’s Graduate program in Software Engineering. He is actively teaching advanced programming and architecture topics for a local training company. He is a published co-author for O’Reilly, Wrox and other well known publishing companies.
When not reading or writing about design patterns, SOA , Model Driven Architectures (MDA), Web Services, XML and other advanced technologies he enjoys trying to take digital videos and still pictures of his pets and local country landscapes for display on his personal web site.
